Last week marked a huge milestone for Career 4 Sport as we welcomed our very first Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy cohort to Belfast.
After months of planning, building our learning platform, writing course content and refining every aspect of the programme, it was incredibly rewarding to finally deliver it in person.
Throughout the week, our students worked through the foundations of sports massage therapy, combining anatomy, assessment and practical treatment skills in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. From identifying bony landmarks and understanding movement patterns to developing hands-on massage techniques, every session was designed to build confidence alongside competence.
One of the things I was most proud of was the atmosphere in the room. Students weren’t just watching demonstrations—they were asking questions, discussing clinical reasoning, practising repeatedly and helping each other improve. That’s exactly the type of environment I wanted to create.
Our courses aren’t about simply passing an assessment. They’re about developing therapists who understand why they’re doing something, not just how to do it.
Seeing students grow in confidence over just a few days reminded me why I started Career 4 Sport in the first place.
This is only the beginning.
Thank you to every student who trusted me with their education and helped make our first diploma such a success. Your enthusiasm, professionalism and willingness to learn made the week an absolute pleasure to teach.
I’m already looking forward to welcoming the next cohort.
If you’ve ever considered becoming a qualified sports massage therapist—or taking your existing skills to the next level—I hope these photos and videos give you a genuine insight into what learning with Career 4 Sport is really like.
